Powering India's EV Workforce Through Government Partnerships

ASDC (Automotive Skills Development Council) is a joint initiative of the Government of India, SIAM, ACMA, and FADA — established in 2011 as the first Sector Skill Council in India. ASDC sets the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for the entire automotive industry. Its certification is recognised by all major automotive OEMs including Tata Motors, Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, Bosch, and 300+ companies for direct hiring.

NEAT (National Educational Alliance for Technology) is AICTE's platform under the Ministry of Education for promoting quality ed-tech courses. DIYguru's EV programs being impanelled on NEAT means they are officially endorsed by the Ministry of Education. Students at 10,000+ AICTE-approved colleges can access these courses, and financially backward students get subsidised or free access under the Open Learning initiative.

DIYguru is a partner in NITI Aayog's Electric Mobility Vision 2030 initiative through the Atal Innovation Mission. This aligns DIYguru's training outcomes with national policy targets — 30% EV penetration by 2030, creation of 10 million direct EV jobs, and building a skilled workforce across the EV value chain. AIM 2.0 was approved by the Union Cabinet in November 2024 with ₹2,750 crore budget allocation.

Under the Govt. of Karnataka's Udyoga scheme (₹657 crore + ₹4,080 crore industry contribution), DIYguru partnered with ASDC and Tata Technologies to deliver EV training across 150 government-owned ITIs. Phase 1 trained 6,000+ students across 20+ ITIs near Bengaluru with 300 trainers deployed. The long-term target is 20,000 skilled individuals annually on long-term courses and 1,00,000 professionals on short-term courses.

DIYguru certifications are backed by ASDC (Govt. of India) and NEAT AICTE (Ministry of Education). For M.Tech-level programs through ADYPU, the degree is UGC-recognised and fully valid for government technical positions. For certification-level programs, ASDC recognition is valuable for government PSU recruitment, defence establishments, and public sector automotive organisations.
